About the Company

Horner Services, LLC (formerly Byrd Brothers of Georgia LLC) was formed in 2005 as a response to the high level of hurricane activity. The owners of Horner Services had been heavily involved in the management of disaster response and recovery for the two years prior to the formation of the company.

Scott Conner and John Horton, the owners of Horner Services, met in 2003 during the Hurricane Isabel response and recovery effort in Virginia. Mr. Conner has over fifteen years experience in the disaster response and recovery business. He is recognized as one of the more able and creative management specialists in the industry. Mr. Horton has over 40 years experience in financial management, both with multi-million dollar corporations and smaller entrepreneurial ventures.

Putting this strong, experienced team into a focused, growth oriented corporation was a natural. The first priority was to recruit a seasoned management team and then mold them into the Horner business philosophy. That is, every client must be completely satisfied before any job is "finished". Our mission includes "treat our clients with respect, integrity and a straightforward, bottom line manner."

This philosophy and team has performed beyond its start-up expectations. Since its inception to the present Horner Services has zero turnover in its management staff. As a result, in just three years the Company has expanded into railroad services on a national basis, as well as continued growth in disaster response and recovery services.

While obviously Horner Services cannot predict future growth in national weather related disasters, it does expect the railroad services division to at least double its 2007 business in 2008.
